The Artefact Shoot Day

The Artefact Shoot Day

Saturday 25th May 2024

Welcome to Aretfact’s 1st Annual Clay Pigeon Shoot!

What better way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon than shooting at clays in the Hertfordshire countryside followed by a refreshing jug of Pimms or two at a traditional local Pub?

This is an informal Artefact event which which should prove to be a popular day out for all employees and their partners. The event will take place on Saturday the 25th of May 2024 at Lea Valley Shooting Association (Bramfield Rd, Hertford SG14 2HZ).

We will first shoot 20 clays as a practice round and, because we are a tad competitive, this will be followed by a friendly team competition where we will each shoot 30 clays. We will shoot approximately 8 to 10 clays per stand across a variety of different set-ups. It’s all quite fun and exciting. There will also be refreshments and snacks available before and after we shoot.

Don’t worry if you’ve never shot or held a gun before, this event will cater to all levels of experience with friendly instructors escorting us throughout. All equipment (gun, cartridges, ear defenders, safety glasses) will be supplied to those requiring it. It’s an outdoor event so come dressed accordingly, bring waterproofs and warm clothes in case of rain (it is England after all).

The event is priced at £80/person, this includes 50 clays & cartridges, shotgun hire (if required), ear & eye protection, instruction and refreshments. You are welcome to bring along your partners, the more the merrier.

In terms of transport, there will be cars leaving from central London which can provide a lift (on first come basis), the Hertford North train station is a short walk away (taxis are also available at the station). Everyone should aim to be at the grounds for 13:15.

Please book your tickets directly on the site for yourself and however many guests you would like. Note that there is a strict cancellation policy also outlined on the site.

For any questions, please contact Chris de Gruben. Further details will be shared with participants closer to the date.

“This is by far the best, most enjoyable and exciting thing I have ever done. Ever! In my whole life! 10/10 recommendation” Holly S.
